About the role

Leona Group Schools is seeking a dedicated Second Grade Teacher to join one of its Arizona campuses. The successful candidate will create a rigorous, standards‑aligned learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards‑based lessons that promote critical thinking and active learning for second‑grade students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of each student and use data to monitor progress.
• Integrate appropriate technology and varied instructional strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain clear classroom expectations, strong management systems, and a safe, respectful atmosphere.
• Provide timely, actionable feedback to students and maintain accurate records in compliance with state requirements.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to ensure student success.
• Participate in department meetings, campus initiatives, and school events, contributing positively to campus culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Arizona teaching certificate, endorsement, or eligibility to obtain one (IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required).
• Strong content knowledge and a commitment to academic rigor and student engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional growth and reflective practice.
