Seasonal Program Activity Leader – Girls Scouts (Oregon)

About the role

Join Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington as a Program Activity Leader for a seasonal, part‑time role. You will guide girls in grades K‑8 through a girl‑led curriculum that includes STEM, the arts, and healthy living, while fostering leadership and cultural competence.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate community troop meetings at elementary schools and community sites, planning and coordinating activities with partner programs and caregivers.
• Engage groups of 10‑15 girls, serving as a positive role model and applying the Girl Scouts Leadership Experience model.
• Manage program supplies, registration, attendance tracking, and related administrative tasks.
• Communicate regularly with parents or caregivers and support their involvement in the program.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
• Experience working with children ages 5‑14 and organizing group activities.
• Ability to travel to multiple school or community sites.
• Strong communication skills with diverse populations; Spanish proficiency highly preferred.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.

What we offer

• Hourly compensation of $22‑$24.50 (plus $1.25 per hour for conversational Spanish).
• Seasonal schedule: 8‑16 hours per week, Monday‑Thursday, 2:30 pm‑6:00 pm, from September 29 to December 10.
