Seasonal Physical Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a Seasonal Physical Therapist to join Vail Health Hospital from October through April. This position offers the chance to work in a top‑tier orthopedic setting while enjoying the winter mountain environment of Vail, Colorado.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using appropriate tests to determine functional level and develop treatment and discharge plans.
• Design and implement physical therapy interventions based on evaluations, physician orders, and patient goals.
• Perform physical therapy techniques safely and document findings, progress, and procedures within required time frames.
• Communicate patient status verbally and in writing with other healthcare professionals.
• Recommend and assist with acquisition of patient care equipment prior to discharge.
• Submit patient billing daily.
• Participate in PT/PTA student training and instruct patients/families on home programs.
• Model a Just Culture and adhere to HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Current Colorado Physical Therapist license or valid PT Compact privilege.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior experience required.
