Seasonal Chef de Partie

About the role

The Silo Ridge Field Club, part of Discovery Land Company, is seeking a seasonal Chef de Partie to join its Culinary Department. This fixed‑term position runs from May 1 to November 15, 2026 and supports the high‑end dining experience for members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead a kitchen section, assigning detailed duties to cooks.
• Maintain meticulous cleanliness and orderliness in collaboration with the Floor Steward.
• Ensure food quality by supervising recipes, taste, temperature, visual appeal, and portion control.
• Enforce safe food handling standards and monitor equipment condition.
• Report broken or unsafe items and maintain par levels of kitchen tools.
• Adhere to all safety, health, security, loss‑control policies and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Preferably a culinary arts degree or certificate.
• 5+ years of culinary experience, including 2‑3 years in fine‑dining environments.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and long hours as needed.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and as part of a team.

Required skills

• ServSafe certification and knowledge of safe food handling practices.
