Seasonal Acute Care Physical Therapist

About the role

Join Vail Health Hospital for a seasonal (November‑April) Acute Care Physical Therapist position in beautiful Vail, Colorado. You will work in a fast‑paced hospital environment, supporting patients in the Emergency Department and acute care units while enjoying world‑class skiing and snowboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using appropriate tests and measurements to determine functional level and develop treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence‑based physical therapy interventions based on physician orders and patient goals.
• Provide continuity of care through written and verbal communication with the interdisciplinary team.
• Recommend and assist with acquisition of discharge equipment.
• Participate in PT/PTA student training and educate patients/families on home programs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to Vail Health’s Just Culture principles.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Colorado.
• Ability to work in an acute care and emergency department setting.
• Strong clinical decision‑making skills and ability to manage a diverse patient population.
• Commitment to seasonal employment (November‑April).
