Search Engine Optimization Specialist (Hybrid, Utah)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Search Engine Optimization Specialist to join a growing digital marketing team in Salt Lake City. This hybrid position (2 days onsite) is a one‑year contract focused on driving organic growth and improving website performance across a large‑scale digital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Spend 50% of time on technical SEO initiatives and 50% on content creation and optimization.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical SEO issues affecting site performance.
• Monitor indexing, crawlability, and overall website health.
• Partner with web development and operations teams to implement SEO improvements.
• Research keyword opportunities and develop SEO strategies.
• Write and optimize SEO‑focused content for websites, blogs, and landing pages.
• Improve page structure, internal linking, and search visibility.
• Track performance and provide SEO reporting and recommendations.

Required profile

• 3+ years of SEO experience.
• Strong technical SEO expertise.
• Exceptional SEO writing and content optimization skills.
• Experience with BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, seoClarity, and WordPress.
• Ability to mentor junior team members without direct management.
• Comfortable partnering with leadership and sharing best practices.
• Self‑starter who can quickly make an impact.
