About the role
The school seeks a dedicated Secretary to support the administration of daily operations, ensuring smooth communication and efficient record‑keeping for staff, students, and parents. Reporting to the Principal, Assistant Principal or Director, the role is pivotal in maintaining the school’s business affairs.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive and systematic records of school transactions and correspondence.
- Receive, screen, and route all incoming calls and communications.
- Manage office equipment, inventories, and supplies, including ordering goods in line with district guidelines.
- Track staff leave, absences, and fixed‑asset assignments.
- File invoices, cards, and other documents promptly and distribute them to the appropriate departments.
- Assist in staff meetings, trainings, and serve on school committees.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to district, state, and federal policies.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Board of Education or district leadership.
Required profile
- High school diploma or higher.
- Ability to work regular, dependable, in‑person hours.
- Willingness to undergo periodic evaluations and follow employee conduct policies.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Frontline Absence Reporting system.
- Competence in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
