About the role

The school nurse provides comprehensive health services to students, delivering classroom health education, individual counseling, and emergency care during school hours. This role works closely with teachers and staff to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction and individual health counseling to students.
• Provide emergency care for illness or injury in accordance with first‑aid guidelines.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to interpret and address student health status.
• Participate in the development, management, and evaluation of the school’s comprehensive health program.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with proof required.
• Male applicants born after 31 December 1959 must complete a Selective Service certification.
• Direct deposit for payroll is mandatory.
• Successful background investigation, including a Tier 1 (T1) childcare check.
• Agreement to random drug testing and signing of DA Form 5019.

Required skills

• National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) certification.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• First‑aid certification.
