School Nurse – Student Health & Education

About the role

The school seeks a qualified Nurse to deliver health education, provide emergency care, and manage student health records within the school environment. This role works closely with teachers and staff to support the wellbeing of pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction and individual health education and counseling to students.
• Provide emergency care for illness or injury during school hours following standard first‑aid guidelines.
• Maintain accurate health information, documentation, and records.
• Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to interpret and address pupil health status.
• Participate in the development, management, and evaluation of a comprehensive school health program.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to complete background and Tier 1 investigations with Childcare Checks.
• Male applicants born after 31 December 1959 must complete Selective Service certification.
• Direct deposit for payroll and willingness to undergo random drug testing.
• Valid, unrestricted nursing license (state, DC, Puerto Rico, or US territory) and successful completion of the NCLEX.
• BSN degree preferred; other bachelor’s degrees accepted with an active nursing license.
