School Nurse

About the role

Charter Schools USA is seeking a dedicated School Nurse to join its mission of Relentless Commitment to Student Greatness. In this role you will create a healthy school environment, address student health needs, and support the instructional program through comprehensive health services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date health records using available technology.
• Plan and conduct health screenings, examinations, and appraisals in line with state law and CSUSA policy.
• Monitor newly enrolled students to ensure compliance with immunization and medical record requirements.
• Provide first aid, emergency care assistance, and medication administration as required.
• Advise students, staff, and parents on health issues and make referrals to community resources.
• Serve as a consultant for health instruction and curriculum planning.
• Recommend health and safety improvements to the principal and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Communicate health information to parents, staff, and community health organizations.

Required profile

• Ability to work and interact with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience preparing comprehensive health reports and documentation.
• Knowledge of state health regulations and school health policies.
