School Clerk – High School (Grades 9‑12)

About the role

The School Clerk provides essential administrative support for a high‑school serving grades 9‑12. Working on‑site at Woodrow Wilson High School, the clerk ensures smooth office operations, handles communications, and assists staff, students, and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and manage routine office activities, including filing, correspondence, and telephone handling.
• Coordinate special office needs and test‑administration logistics.
• Process district forms, order and maintain supplies, and prepare periodic status reports.
• Respond to inquiries from employees, parents, and the public in a knowledgeable and efficient manner.
• Communicate with departmental staff, principals, teachers, and external professionals.
• Travel throughout the district as required and maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of office experience, including test coordination.
• Basic typing speed of 40 wpm.
• Ability to complete assignments with close supervision.
• Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to stay current with professional developments.

Required skills

• Typing (minimum 40 wpm).
• Proficiency with word‑processing, spreadsheet, database, and project‑management applications.
