Scaffolding & Formwork Superintendent – Nuclear Construction

About the role

Delan Associates is seeking an experienced Scaffolding & Formwork Superintendent to lead nuclear construction projects in the Aiken, SC area. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Superintendent will supervise scaffold installation, demolition and related formwork activities while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellent relationships with clients, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and the public.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and meets quality standards.
• Assist in developing, monitoring and updating the project schedule; create detailed look‑ahead schedules with subcontractors.
• Develop recovery strategies when schedule or budget is at risk.
• Plan, supervise and approve work of forces and subcontractors, including methods, manpower, materials, tools, equipment and rentals.
• Drive productivity of trades and subcontractors while managing material and equipment use.
• Ensure trades complete required safety, quality, technical and equipment training.
• Verify construction complies with drawings, specifications, Field Work Packages, Inspection & Test Plans and budget.
• Interface with client representatives, design engineers, consultants and other contractors.
• Maintain field documentation such as safety records, daily progress reports, training logs, manpower reports and FWP documents.

Required profile

• Technical college diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum five years of construction and subcontractor supervision experience in scaffold installation and demolition within the nuclear industry.
