Scaffold Builder I

About the role

The Industrial Journeyman Scaffold Builder will construct, reinforce, and dismantle wooden and metal scaffolding systems on industrial construction sites. The role involves reading plans, ensuring safety, and supporting other trades when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine material quantities and dimensions.
• Identify required tools and safety precautions for each task.
• Measure, mark, and cut wood or metal to specification.
• Assemble, reinforce, and dismantle pre‑engineered scaffolding structures.
• Build auxiliary wooden items such as decks, steps, bulletin boards, and other structures.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience as a scaffold builder or helper on industrial projects.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and drawings.
• Knowledge of materials, tools, and basic building techniques.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measurements and calculations.
• Reliable transportation and personal tools.
• Willingness to work full schedules, overtime, and follow all safety regulations.
