SAP FICO Consultant – AP & Banking (ISO 20022)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant specialized in Accounts Payable and Banking to join our team in Mahwah, NJ. The role focuses on implementing and supporting SAP payment processes, ISO 20022 XML formats and integration with external banking systems.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and optimize SAP FICO, Accounts Payable and Bank Accounting modules, including Automatic Payment Program (F110), Payment Medium Workbench (PMW) and Bank Communication Management (BCM).
• Design, develop and maintain payment interfaces and file formats (XML, ISO 20022) for seamless integration with external banking partners.
• Lead end‑to‑end SAP implementation and transformation projects, covering functional specifications, system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Gather business requirements, translate them into SAP configuration and customization, and ensure compliance with banking and financial regulations.
• Provide ongoing support, defect resolution and production deployment for payment processing workflows.

Required profile

• 15+ years of overall professional experience with at least 7 years dedicated to SAP FICO.
• Proven expertise in SAP Accounts Payable, Bank Accounting and electronic payment processing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 20022 XML payment formats and banking integration concepts.
• Hands‑on experience in full‑cycle SAP implementations, testing and post‑go‑live support.
• Excellent ability to collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and banking partners.
