Sales Order Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑focused, analytical professional to drive sales order growth for the distilled spirits brands of Fifth Generation, Inc. The role partners with Sales, Marketing and Finance to uncover opportunities, analyse performance trends and deliver data‑driven insights that boost revenue and market share.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present customized pricing, promotions and discount proposals backed by financial modelling to win new business and expand market share.
• Analyse geographic, channel and customer data to identify high‑potential opportunities and design tailored sales order solicitation techniques that maximise margin and volume.
• Evaluate commercial initiatives using ROI, payback and scenario analyses; monitor competitor pricing and market dynamics.
• Obtain and analyse cost data to determine ROI on resource utilisation, provide budget‑vs‑actual insights and support cost‑saving projects.
• Conduct deep‑dive market analyses across regions and categories to set sales order priorities, produce accurate forecasts and develop tools for resource deployment.
• Maintain accurate shipment and depletion reporting, assess performance versus forecast, identify risks and opportunities, and support demand planning.
• Lead the annual sales planning process and the monthly business performance rhythm.
• Collaborate with corporate sales operations to resolve customer concerns and ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 6‑8 years of experience in commercial finance supporting sales order development, FP&A or analytical roles (spirits/CPG experience a plus).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable commercial strategies.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Power BI or Tableau (preferred).
