Sales Engineer – Northwest Indiana / Northeast Illinois

About the role

Join Sandvik Coromant as a Sales Engineer covering the Northwest Indiana and Northeast Illinois region. You will be the go‑to technical expert for customers, understanding their machining needs and delivering tailored tooling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Deliver the full Coromant product and service offering.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow market share.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver total customer solutions.
• Consult on CNC machining and tooling applications using technical expertise.
• Maintain and optimise the sales pipeline with CRM tools for accurate tracking and forecasting.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
• Proven success in technical sales or customer‑facing roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel (≈10% overnight).
