Sales Engineer – Houston, TX

About the role

As a Sales Engineer for Dormer Pramet in Houston, you will be the technical face of the business, helping customers improve machining performance while driving sustainable growth across the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new end‑user customers and expand existing accounts while strengthening distributor relationships.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, executing regional growth strategies and meeting sales targets.
• Provide tooling recommendations, application support and troubleshooting for machining processes.
• Conduct regular visits to customers and distributors to understand challenges and gather market insights.
• Deliver product training, lead new‑product introductions and act as a trusted technical resource.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and adhere to safety and site protocols while traveling throughout the territory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in metalworking, machining or cutting tools.
• At least three years of sales experience with a consultative approach.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using a CRM system (preferred).
