Sales Engineer / Account Manager – Chicago Region

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a customer‑focused Sales Engineer / Account Manager to serve the Chicago region. You will act as the technical liaison for clients, helping them select and apply cutting‑edge tooling solutions for CNC machining.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in the Chicago area.
• Present the full Coromant product and service portfolio to address client needs.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market share.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver complete customer solutions.
• Provide technical consulting on CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting‑tool applications.
• Maintain and optimise the sales pipeline using CRM tools for accurate tracking and forecasting.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
• Proven success in technical sales or customer‑facing roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel (approximately 10% overnight).
