About the role
This accelerated, on‑the‑job training position is designed for individuals who want to launch a career in sales. Working in the field across multiple territories, you will support key accounts, drive sales, and execute promotions while gaining hands‑on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Visit assigned accounts daily, following an efficient routing pattern.
- Deliver professional sales presentations, promoting display ideas, new products, shelf placements, drink and wine lists, and promotions.
- Maintain product levels by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legally permitted.
- Ensure brand visibility using current point‑of‑sale materials.
- Collect payments and process checks or other remittances where allowed.
- Conduct educational training seminars for account staff on brand information.
- Handle customer issues, complaints, and special delivery circumstances, escalating to management as needed.
- Analyze buying patterns, pricing, and product programming to meet distribution, volume, and activity goals.
- Process credits, returns, and manage receivables, communicating on aged balances.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and complete required surveys for national account compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training/experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales.
- Basic PC proficiency with Microsoft Office and presentation software.
- Results‑oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
