Sales Development Representative – Independent Retail (Los Angeles)

About the role

This full‑time Sales Development Representative will rotate across multiple territories, focusing on independent retail accounts in the Los Angeles area. The role is designed to maximise the sales of supplier brands by delivering professional presentations, managing inventory, and supporting merchandising initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Visit accounts on a daily route, creating an efficient routing pattern.
• Deliver sales presentations that include display ideas, new products, shelf placements, and promotions.
• Maintain product levels by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legally permitted.
• Collect payments and process checks or other remittances where allowed.
• Conduct staff training seminars on brand knowledge.
• Handle customer issues, complaints, and special delivery requests.
• Track account buying patterns and maintain accurate purchase histories.
• Achieve distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Results‑oriented with a focus on meeting performance targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and presentation software.
