Sales Associate – Trauma Orthopaedics

About the role

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Portland, OR metro area within the Orthopaedics trauma portfolio. The role involves providing clinical and customer support in hospitals, assisting surgeons in the operating room, and driving sales objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the sales organization in retaining existing customers and expanding penetration with new accounts.
• Support surgeons in the operating room by presenting, demonstrating, and ensuring proper utilization of DePuy Synthes products.
• Attend surgeries, manage equipment availability, optimize trays, and provide sterile processing consultation.
• Handle technical assistance, customer requests, billing, and purchase order creation.
• Share market insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams.
• Prepare sales reports, maintain promotional materials, and ensure product availability across the territory.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree, medical certification, or recent active military transition.
• Minimum 2‑4 years of professional experience in sales or related field.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel, including weekends and overnight stays.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to reside in or relocate to the Portland territory.

Required skills

• Technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
• Ability to work in a laboratory or operating‑room environment.
