Safety Hazmat Technician – $75k-$85k (2nd/3rd Shift)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Safety Hazmat Technician for its Antioch, TN service center. The role supports emergency response, hazardous material clean‑up and site remediation on 2nd and 3rd shifts, with a salary range of $75,000‑$85,000.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies involving hazardous and non‑hazardous materials.
• Perform clean‑up, site remediation and equipment decontamination.
• Handle, containerize and document hazardous material shipments.
• Audit incoming/outgoing shipments for regulatory compliance.
• Lead safety procedures, maintain documentation and coach co‑workers on safe practices.
• Set up and participate in live training events for personnel competency.

Required profile

• 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lb and work in high‑pressure environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to report issues promptly.
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift and travel to specialized projects as needed.

Required skills

• OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
