ROV Software Intern

About the role
This paid Summer Engineering Internship (mid‑May to early August) is based in Austin with Oceaneering’s Software group. You will support the Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) program, applying classroom knowledge to real‑world projects while working closely with mentors and senior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and document C++ software components for ROV systems.
- Interface with project team members and clients during meetings and reviews.
- Assist in testing, integration, and troubleshooting of ROV software.
- Participate in team‑building activities, executive lunches, facility tours, and off‑site events.
Required profile
- BS, MS or PhD candidate in DevOps, Software Engineering or a related field with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
- Ability to thrive in a high‑performance team with shifting schedules.
Required skills
- C++ development
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Experience with DevOps practices
- Familiarity with GitHub version control
