Rooftop Host (Seasonal)

About the role

The Rooftop Host will be the first and last point of contact for guests at Arlo NoMad’s rooftop restaurant. Working seasonally from April 6 to September 15, the host creates a welcoming atmosphere and ensures a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests, recognize regular and VIP visitors.
• Check guests in, escort them to their tables, pull out chairs and present menus.
• Manage reservations, confirm bookings one day prior, and handle phone and email inquiries with a warm, professional tone.
• Operate the OpenTable reservation system, process credit‑card authorizations, and maintain accurate reservation records.
• Address guest complaints, diffuse difficult situations, and involve management when needed.
• Communicate table status, wait times, and special requests to the maître d’ and service team.
• Complete opening and closing side‑work, including lost‑and‑found handling and coordination with vendors.
• Provide a courteous farewell and ensure guests leave with a positive impression.
