About the role

Arlo Hotels is seeking a dynamic Rooftop Server for its seasonal rooftop venue in New York City. The position runs from April 6th to September 15th and offers the chance to deliver memorable dining experiences in a vibrant, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously, use guest names, and maintain eye contact.
• Take food and beverage orders, provide recommendations, and accurately input orders into the POS system.
• Serve beverages and wines using proper service techniques, including opening bottles.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of service areas.
• Monitor and restock bread, butter, and linen supplies throughout the shift.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or guest concerns to management promptly.

Required profile

• Polite, honest, and respectful attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Strong personal hygiene and grooming standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.
• Clear communication skills and willingness to collaborate with all departments.
• Commitment to health and safety guidelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
• Knowledge of basic wine and champagne service techniques.
• Ability to read guests and make appropriate menu suggestions.
