Roadway Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a motivated Roadway Engineer to join its Critical Infrastructure team. The role involves delivering large‑scale highway and transportation projects that improve community mobility and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and supervise engineering products such as calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, and technical reports.
• Define project scope, prepare budgets and schedules, plan work, provide technical direction, and report status.
• Prepare detailed equipment and material requisitions.
• Supervise subordinates and guide CAD designers, drafters, and junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of highway geometric design experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred and on the PE track.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools, specifically Microstation.
• Experience using InRoads/OpenRoads for highway design.
