Roadhouse Line Cook

About the role

The Roadhouse Line Cook will join the Food and Beverage Culinary Department at the Troubadour Golf & Field Club, located just outside Nashville, Tennessee. This position supports the creation of memorable dining experiences for members and guests across multiple outlets, including pool service, golf course dining, and activation stations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain assigned stations with proper mise en place for service.
• Prepare menu items according to recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef.
• Cook and plate dishes while ensuring quality, presentation, and food safety.
• Monitor inventory, stock and rotate food, and alert the Sous Chef of low items.
• Operate a variety of kitchen equipment safely, checking temperatures and sanitation.
• Assist with deliveries, put away stock, and maintain a clean work environment.
• Work across multiple stations as needed, including line, salad, and prep stations.

Required profile

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training (preferred).
• At least 1 year of line or prep cook experience in a fine‑dining, luxury resort, or private club setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in a range of cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and maintain proper temperature controls.
