RN Transplant Stepdown Unit – Full‑Time Nights

About the role

This full‑time night position on the Transplant Stepdown Unit (TSU) at Jeff Hwy provides direct patient care in a specialized transplant environment. The RN leads the nursing process, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and ensures high‑quality outcomes for diverse patient populations.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and staff.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
• Use data and clinical knowledge to drive improvements and achieve unit strategic goals.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work night shifts and meet the physical demands of a stepdown unit.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
