About the role

The RN Supervisor – Operations Coordinator for Pediatric Specialties leads a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care. This position blends clinical expertise with operational oversight, supporting both staff development and efficient care delivery within Ochsner Health.

Key responsibilities

• Ensures effective and safe delivery of patient care.
• Supervises, trains, and develops nursing and ancillary staff.
• Coordinates clinical operations and the implementation of care plans.
• Maintains up‑to‑date clinical knowledge, technical skills, and required credentials for the team.
• Adapts to change positively and promotes continuous improvement.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
• Performs other related duties as required, including patient‑specific communication adaptations.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required); Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and CPR certification; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Strong organizational, judgment, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
