Rig Mechanic – Oilfield Equipment Maintenance

About the role

Helmerich and Payne is seeking experienced Rig Mechanics to join its drilling teams across multiple U.S. locations. You will be responsible for keeping oil‑well drilling machinery operating safely and efficiently, supporting the company’s legacy of productivity and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and install drilling rigs, hydraulic systems, and related equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on oil‑field machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic failures and execute corrective actions on‑site.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Pass a post‑offer physical examination.
• 3–5 years of experience with mechanical equipment or hydraulics, preferably in drilling environments.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States where the rig operates.
• Wear steel‑toe work boots; passport required for international assignments.
