Revenue Accounting Technician (Part‑Time)

About the role

Atlanta Technical College is seeking a part‑time Revenue Accounting Technician to support its Business Office. Working under the Accounting Director, you will collaborate with the Revenue Accountant and Fiscal Analyst to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with state accounting policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general‑ledger reconciliation and upload journals into the WorkDay (GA@Work) system.
• Classify transactions, assign accounting codes, and resolve recording errors.
• Balance and reconcile accounting records, including journals, ledgers, batch reports, bank statements, and student‑financial‑aid documents.
• Assist with month‑end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Review and process revenue documents such as invoices, receipts, grants, and bonds for completeness and proper authorization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or an Associate’s degree plus two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and student‑account management practices.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations affecting higher‑education finance.
• Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
