Retail Marketing Manager

About the role

Blue Nile is seeking a strategic Retail Marketing Manager to own and grow the local marketing engine across its showroom portfolio. The role sits at the intersection of brand, community and commerce, driving in‑store experiences that complement digital campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and execute a year‑round local events calendar, including client appreciation gatherings, product launches, trunk shows and community partnership programs.
• Manage the full event lifecycle from concept and vendor sourcing to logistics, on‑site delivery and post‑event performance analysis.
• Develop and activate high‑value client lists in collaboration with personal jewelers, creating personalized outreach tied to milestones, anniversaries and seasonal moments.
• Build and maintain client gifting strategies with clear budget controls and measurable impact on retention.
• Create automated, trigger‑based communication flows that support scalable, high‑touch client engagement.
• Identify and nurture relationships with local businesses, cultural institutions, influencers and community organizations that align with the brand.
• Partner with PR to amplify local initiatives through media and influencer coverage.

Required profile

• Proven retail marketer who takes ownership and moves from idea to execution without waiting for direction.
• Builder’s instinct – able to create structure in ambiguous environments and deliver results with available resources.
• Customer‑first mindset supported by data fluency, understanding of clienteling, retention triggers and the customer lifecycle.
• Strong cross‑functional influence, earning trust of store managers, personal jewelers and brand teams.
• Passion for crafting memorable moments, from intimate trunk shows to neighborhood partnership events.
• Comfort with ambiguity, providing clarity and solutions rather than additional questions.
