Retail Manager

About the role

The Retail Manager will lead the Golf Shop at Troubadour Golf & Field Club, delivering premium customer service and curating a luxury merchandise assortment for members, guests, and club events. Reporting to the Regional Director, the role blends purchasing, inventory control, and brand partnership management to support the club’s high‑end retail experience.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Regional Director on buying plans, using the Management One open‑to‑buy system to meet sales targets.
• Manage all purchasing activities: vendor communication, new account setup, logo instructions, purchase orders, order tracking, and freight forwarding.
• Maintain accurate data in business models, Egnyte organization, and POS entry; reconcile on‑order and inventory balances.
• Develop custom product and swag initiatives, ensuring branding guidelines are followed for tournaments and marketing events.
• Attend trade shows, source luxury and designer brands, negotiate terms, and secure exclusive or limited‑edition items.
• Conduct monthly physical inventory counts, monitor sell‑through, and update on‑order status.
• Work closely with accounting to establish SOPs for invoice processing, inventory control, and AP reconciliation.
• Support staff uniform sourcing and maintain up‑to‑date vendor contact information.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail merchandising or purchasing, preferably within luxury or golf‑related environments.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Analytical ability to interpret sales data and inventory metrics.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel for trade shows and club events.
