Restaurant Host

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and organized Restaurant Host to join our historic Santa Fe property. As the first point of contact for guests, you will create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure smooth seating and service throughout the dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, manage check‑ins, and coordinate seating assignments.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and process in‑room dining orders.
• Maintain accurate records in the reservation system and monitor guest profiles, VIP arrivals, and special requests.
• Collaborate with restaurant and pool staff to avoid overbooking and optimize guest flow.
• Prepare station charts, assign tables, and guide servers on optimal set‑up.
• Keep the host station and surrounding areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Ensure menus and wine lists are up‑to‑date and well‑stocked.
• Address guest complaints promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Prior experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a high‑end setting.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, service‑oriented attitude.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Legal age to serve alcohol and ability to obtain required certifications (food handler, alcohol service).
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays.
