Restaurant Host – Full‑time, Year‑round

About the role

Join the historic Hotel Jerome as a Restaurant Host, providing the welcoming first impression that defines our legendary hospitality. You will be the primary point of contact for guests arriving at our dining venues, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience from check‑in to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, manage check‑ins, and seat patrons efficiently.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and process in‑room dining orders.
• Maintain accurate records in the reservation system and monitor guest profiles, VIP arrivals, and special requests.
• Coordinate with restaurant and pool staff to optimize seating flow and avoid overbooking.
• Assist with station chart preparation, assign stations, and guide servers on table set‑up.
• Keep the host station and surrounding areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Ensure menus and wine lists are up‑to‑date and well‑stocked.
• Address guest complaints promptly to secure satisfaction.

Required profile

• Prior experience in customer service or hospitality, preferably in a high‑end setting.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Minimum legal age to serve alcohol.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain required state certifications (food handler, alcohol service).
