Residential Warehouse Trader Analyst

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Residential Warehouse Trader Analyst in its New York office, within the Securitised Products business area of Markets. The role sits in the residential warehouse trading desk and supports the assessment of market value for loan portfolios, trade-level pricing and haircuts, coordination with internal risk partners, and governance and infrastructure projects. It works closely with origination, trading and infrastructure teams. The position is listed as hybrid (#LI-Hybrid) and is regulated by FINRA.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in assessing market value for loan portfolios and setting trade-level pricing and haircuts
• Coordinate with internal risk partners and support governance and infrastructure projects
• Execute buy and sell orders or price liquidity in financial instruments in line with the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters
• Monitor global financial markets, economic indicators, news and geopolitical events to spot opportunities and assess risk
• Manage and monitor the risk of the trading portfolio and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal risk guidelines
• Work with research analysts and other teams to gather insights for trading decisions

Required profile

• Familiarity with trade lifecycle processes and financial products, especially in residential or structured finance
• Understanding of market risk concepts, P&L reporting and operational workflows
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a problem-solving, detail-oriented approach
• Legal right to work in the US; the role may be subject to enhanced governance arrangements
