Residential Experience Coordinator

About the role

The Residential Experience Coordinator works with the Office of Residential Life to create a safe, supportive, and engaging living environment for high‑school students at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. This role blends supervision, programming, and crisis response to promote student learning and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to foster a positive residential experience for students.
• Plan and chaperone on‑campus and off‑campus social and educational trips.
• Evaluate Residential Mentors’ performance together with the Assistant Dean of Residential Life.
• Respond to resident concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations.
• Conduct nightly room checks to verify student presence.
• Perform weekly room inspections.
• Transport students as needed using school vehicles.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intentional learning opportunities that meet students’ developmental needs.

Required profile

• Experience working with high‑school students in a residential setting.
• Ability to handle emergencies and crisis situations responsibly.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling trips and inspections.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
