Resident Services Manager – Student Living Community

About the role

The Resident Services Manager leads the resident experience for a student‑living community, ensuring high satisfaction and retention. This role handles day‑to‑day resident inquiries, service requests, and coordinates community events to foster a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve resident complaints and questions about rent, fees, and service requests promptly.
• Return all service‑request callbacks within 24 hours to maintain satisfaction.
• Create and distribute resident communications such as newsletters, surveys, and lease‑violation notices.
• Manage roommate matching, wait‑list leases, and coordinate resident events (welcome parties, birthday cards, etc.).
• Maintain daily curb‑appeal, landscaping, office presentation, and ensure leasing spaces are ready for tours.
• Oversee the Community Assistant Program where applicable.
• Review nightly Courtesy Officer reports, follow up on incidents and lease violations, and secure the leasing office after hours.
• Monitor answering service messages and return calls as needed.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to address resident concerns quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for newsletters, surveys, and notices.
• Organizational ability to plan events and manage multiple resident‑related tasks.
• Attention to detail in property presentation and incident reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with community staff and external vendors.
