About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Research Technician to support its research and clinical programs. This staff position works within a laboratory environment, contributing to ongoing scientific projects and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the execution of research experiments and protocols.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Collect, record, and organize experimental data accurately.
• Follow safety and compliance guidelines to uphold a secure lab environment.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and samples as required by research teams.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or associate degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work reliably in a laboratory setting.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with staff.
