Research Technician – Biomedical Sciences

About the role

The College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking a Research Technician to support the Biomedical Sciences department. This on‑site position in Dallas involves assisting with a variety of laboratory and animal‑based research projects in a fast‑paced academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting experiments, technical procedures, and routine laboratory research activities.
• Provide animal care, including genotype verification, surgical procedures, and handling.
• Collect and prepare samples for analysis.
• Support undergraduate and graduate students with their research projects.
• Perform histological processing, microscopy, and image analysis/photography.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of related laboratory experience, preferably with animal handling.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work cooperatively, and adapt to a high‑volume environment.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
