About the role
The Institute for Advancing Health Through Agriculture (IHA) at Texas A&M AgriLife is seeking a Research Specialist II to join the Healthy Living program in Dallas. Working under the direction of the IHA Associate Director, the specialist will support community‑engaged research aimed at reducing health disparities through nutrition, agriculture, and behavioral interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Healthy Living team to design, implement, and evaluate community‑based research projects.
- Provide technical and operational support for data collection, management, and analysis.
- Coordinate with external partners, extension services, and academic collaborators.
- Prepare reports, scientific manuscripts, and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Assist in grant development, budgeting, and compliance monitoring.
Required profile
- Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in public health, nutrition, agriculture, or a related field.
- Experience in community‑engaged or applied research, preferably addressing health disparities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
