Research Scientist – Physical AI

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking passionate Research Scientists to advance physical AI for autonomous driving and robotics. You will work with a world‑class team to develop and deploy cutting‑edge algorithms that power real‑world machines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct original research on reinforcement learning, large‑scale self‑play, and closed‑loop RL systems.
• Design, implement, and evaluate algorithms using millions of miles of fleet data.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate research outcomes into autonomous and robotic platforms.
• Publish findings at top conferences and contribute to internal best‑practice knowledge.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent experience in machine learning, robotics, or a related field.
• Strong publication record or demonstrable research impact.
• Ability to work both independently and within a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
