Research Scientist - Humanoid Robotics

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a founding senior Research Scientist to lead its Humanoid Robotics vertical. The role combines independent research with a clear path to real‑world deployment on humanoid robots and dexterous hands.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the research agenda for humanoid robotics and dexterous manipulation.
• Conduct cutting‑edge research, publish results, and translate methods into production‑ready software.
• Collaborate closely with senior researchers and cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Leverage Applied Intuition’s tools, infrastructure, and simulation platforms to test and validate algorithms.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to building a world‑class research group.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent experience in robotics, AI, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of high‑impact publications in top conferences such as CVPR, ICRA, or similar.
• Strong conviction about technical road‑maps and ability to work autonomously.
• Experience with humanoid platforms or dexterous hand research.
