Research Scholarship for AIH Standard Development (AIH-BI5)

About the role
The Institute of Information Sciences, Technologies and Architecture (Istar‑Iscte) is offering a two‑month research scholarship (AIH‑BI5) to support the design of a proof‑of‑concept standard for health‑data management platforms powered by artificial intelligence. The scholarship is aimed at a licensed student who will work on the AIH project, contributing to both technical specifications and scientific dissemination.
Key responsibilities
- Familiarise with the AIH project context, objectives and data sets.
- Participate in defining regulatory, technical and functional requirements for the proposed standard.
- Assist in drafting the technical specification based on the gathered requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of a scientific article in English to a conference or indexed journal.
- Help produce a final report outlining the technical proposal for the standard.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a higher‑education institution (undergraduate or graduate) in a relevant discipline.
- Interest in computer science, artificial intelligence and health‑data applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts and methods.
