Research Clinical Pharmacist

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a Research Clinical Pharmacist to collaborate with healthcare providers, optimize patient care, and advance pharmaceutical research. This position involves advising physicians, supervising therapeutic procedures, and conducting research to improve medication use.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective drug therapy.
• Advise on drug dangers, dosing errors, and side‑effects.
• Coordinate pharmacy duties, including preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for drug dispensing.
• Conduct patient assessments, medication histories, and research to enhance pharmaceutical care.
• Individualize medication regimens based on pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic factors.
• Suggest improvements to work methods and processes.

Required profile

• Pharm.D. degree.
• Certification in a relevant specialty.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, or weekends as needed.
