Research Associate – Pharmacy Laboratory

About the role

The College of Pharmacy at Texas A&M University Health Science Center seeks a Research Associate to join its Pharmaceutical Sciences team. The role supports high‑throughput laboratory research and collaborates closely with faculty, students, and technical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute laboratory protocols, including cell isolation, cell culture, Western blot, DNA/RNA purification, PCR, ELISA, immunocytochemistry/histochemistry, and flow cytometry.
• Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students, as well as other laboratory personnel.
• Perform administrative duties such as inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory animals and consumables.
• Conduct data analysis and document experimental results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (MS degree preferred).
• Minimum two years of professional experience in a cancer biology or molecular biology laboratory.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume research setting.
