Research Assistant I

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Research Assistant I to join the Geriatrics Research Department. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports ongoing research projects aimed at improving the health and quality of life of older adults.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior investigators with study design, data collection, and data entry.
• Perform routine laboratory and clinical procedures following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate research records, sample inventories, and documentation.
• Prepare and organize study materials, consent forms, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, safety regulations, and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Current employee, student, or graduate assistant of the University of Arkansas System.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work day‑shift hours on site.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
