Renewable Power Plant Operations Manager

About the role

The Power Plant Operations Manager will oversee Anaergia’s Rialto Bioenergy Facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable production of renewable electricity, renewable natural gas, and high‑quality fertilizers. Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and drive operational excellence across all plant functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, including safety, environmental compliance, finance, HR, administration, legal, engineering, maintenance, and project management.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of operations and plant support staff.
• Establish and maintain world‑class safety and environmental standards while fostering a culture of operational discipline.
• Support the Facility Manager in achieving financial, operational, and performance targets.
• Develop, review, and implement procedures that improve efficiency, increase revenue, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive lean, efficient production and execute strategies for equipment reliability, maintenance best practices, and supply‑chain optimization.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex renewable energy or waste‑to‑energy facilities.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on safety and environmental stewardship.
• Demonstrated capability to meet financial and operational goals in a plant environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to implement best‑practice procedures.
