Remote Tax Consultant (CPA)

About the role

Our client, a boutique consulting firm, is seeking a CPA‑level Tax Consultant to work remotely with high‑net‑worth individuals, executives, and business owners. The position offers a true consulting environment focused on complex tax analysis and planning, with a consistent 40‑hour workweek and an emphasis on work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary advisor for a portfolio of high‑net‑worth and closely held business clients.
• Perform and review complex tax calculations, analysis, and planning initiatives.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients and their advisors.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on technical research and consulting engagements.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, attorneys, CPAs, and financial professionals.
• Deliver high‑level client service while maintaining exceptional technical accuracy.

Required profile

• CPA certification required.
• 5–7 years of public‑accounting tax experience, preferably at a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager level.
• Strong technical tax skills handling complex issues and structures.
• Experience working directly with clients as a trusted advisor.
• Demonstrated career progression and professional stability.
• Desire to develop expertise within a highly specialized consulting practice.
