Remote Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Remote Software Engineer to help design and develop products that Home Depot customers and associates love. You will join a collaborative team of engineers of varying experience levels, contributing to the full software lifecycle from design to production support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software while following best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement discussions and help the team meet results under tight timelines.
• Learn from successful and failed experiments, seeking growth through formal and informal channels.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners in agile processes and build strong relationships with diverse groups.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to document complex processes clearly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft T‑SQL and Microsoft SQL Server (Google BigQuery preferred).
• Python for data analysis, data movement, and machine‑learning tasks.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau (SSRS preferred).
• Familiarity with JIRA and Git for story tracking and version control.
• ETL development using SSIS and Google Dataform.
• Understanding of Contact Center, Technology Support, and ITIL Service Management metrics.
